Great idea, needs performance optimization

I really like the breadth of functionality of this app, and the UI is pretty good as well. Unfortunately it suffers from some real performance problems. Adding more than one filter or a frame and filter to any image causes ever subsequent operation to beachball for > 15 seconds. Clicks, menus, all of them.

The work-around is to save your image after each operation, quit the app, and relaunch it with the saved image. Frustrating but seems to make it performant.

Note: this is on a 2.7 GHz Core i& with 16 gigs of RAM.
