FX Photo Studio Pro App Reviews

I have to say its a nice software but it has to many effects that are mostly useless, the should have put HDR effect and some other nice filters that could have made that software even better, i hope the add updates with new filters

I am a landscape artist and have been using Snapheal for some time now. I cautiously added FX Photostudio Pro not wanting to get into using preset filters, but I am pleased with the control it gives me over the changes I make to photos… I find MacPhun software simple to use and provides the essential tools I need to manipulate my images.

I wanted to buy this App for a long time and I could not decide because Ive got so many Apps for Photo editing. Today, I decided to take it because I received an email saying that it was on sale by 40%. Well, it is an incredible App, and already I love it. It is very well designed, very stable and you can apply as many effects as you want. It is a great value and after only an hour of buying it, Im already working on my third document. It is so much fun ! Well, after using it for 40 days, I can now see its weaknesses. Some effects dont have very precise cursors. Also, when you save a preset, it doesnt save with all the same details of your editing. Thats why, after 40 days of using it, I give it a 4 stars… instead of 5, like I did before ! Now, today… on April 8th, they sent me a new free update. It seems to me, that they have improved it again, with version 3. It is now definitely a 5 stars with great effects, better than ever, that you can Stack very easily, like always ! Also, it is very easy and user-frienly, to save your documents, like all MacPhun software !

FX Photo Studio Pro is comparable to Simply HDR. I love them both in different ways. Its great for doing the job as well as a quick fix. Needs some tweaking perhaps when working on some images rather then just settling for the prescribed effect, though it is simple enough to do. Some of the other presets are perfect just as they are. For what the app costs…over all, its pretty good. Good enough I now purchased it for the laptop as well. What I like best is that this app keeps the photo titles in place that I entitle them when trying other effects within the app. I dont have to re enter the app name in the tille when switching between the effects. Other apps dont seem to do that. Its nice to work with the different apps and then name the app with the specific app name so I can recall which app the effect was applied from.

I use this every day, all day. I appreciate the extremly easy conversion of basic graphics into someing very distinctive. First Class

The product description says that you ca: ‘Import images from your iphoto library’. But I have failed been unable to do that.

Well worth the price. It’s just amazing how you can manipulate a plain looking photo into a masterpiece.

This app offers lots of options to change your the effect of your photos. You can adjust the temperature, highlights, shadows, etc and is similar to what you can do in iPhoto that way. Unlike iphoto it has a lot of presets to change the feel of the photo a little or a lot and each one can be adjusted further to suit your needs. If you want to do more powerful editting though, this is not the app to do it in - you would need lighroom or photoshop. It’s great if you are in a time crunch and need to adjust a photo quickly for a poster, card or something similar. It seems to be stable and I’ve had no issues importing photos quickly. All in all it is a good app.

I am impressed with this app. It does what it says it will do. It does not choke up and freeze, even with large files. So far anyway. It offers a wide range of wonderful toys. It does operate like a high-end app. Very enjoyable to use.

This application is the best for me to edit. I dont have to consider how I should mix colors, but just this does finish it quickly, I recommend you guys to get this!

I have Capture One, Photoshop, and Perfect Photo Suite. I reach for this one most often.

If you buy this app, the author will spam you with notifications to buy their other products. For instance, I just received a notification promoting their Aurora HDR Pro software, allegedly "for free," but when you actually give them your email address and try to download it, its just a demo version and priced nearly twice what the same apps sells for here in the App Store. Im unintalling all of these Macphun apps, and I regret ever giving them my email address.

This is a seriously fun and efective app! I’ve been using it for about 2 yrs and always get stunning results. While it doesn’t do “everything”, this app consistently delivers great pics, choices, and can transform pics into incredibly imaginative pictures and so much more easily than the “do it all” apps. I’ve never had trouble saving, or getting looking, fun and insanly great pics. my only issue with it is that after using for a while, it sometimes gets stuck on a version of your pic and all the presets reflect the same color. Easy enough to fi, so it’s not an issue for me, but would love to see that fixed.Might also add, haven’t taken time to ask support yet. :) I love this app!

I’ve only had it ten minutes and I’m addicted. Great tool to tweek my photos for blogs, etc. Happy to pay 7 bucks for a fun uncomplicated toy.

I paid like twenty dollars for pure garbage! Most of the filters turn the picture into complete trash and the only useful tools that come with the app are tools that anyone can access through the photos app that comes with any apple computer. PLEASE GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK

This app is seriously a piece of junk. “Pro” editor? You can even layer photos or remove backgrounds. It gives you just a bunch of not very impressive filters. Instagram can do everything this app can do. $18 is a rip off. I emailed the company and asked for a refund. Not holding my breath.

There are free apps that give you just as much to work with. Do yourself a favor & save your money. If I could get a refund for this app I’d do so in a heartbeat.

I bought this because I thought it was the pro version of the Photo Editor Axiem System program that I use on my tablet. With the tablet version it has the same effects and such, however you can add text. With this version, which I paid more money for, does not have the add text feature. I’m a little bummed about it. Maybe I’m missing something but if the version that has ads playing can add text, why can’t the Pro version (which does not have ads)?

Tremendously handy for me. I don’t use it for straight photography, but for graphic variations on abstracted images. Once you’re familiar with the filters, you can easily visualize what you want to happen and whether FX Studio Pro will provide a short-cut that would otherwise take ten minutes of level and filter jiggling.
