Best App Ever

If you’re a photographer you should get this ASAP. Its well worth the money, works great on all your devices, and lets you create photos you could never create using any other software out there. The filters are tremendous and allow your pics to enter new worlds. You will not regret buying this.

Must Have photo lab!

This application has the power to bring photos to life with dozens upon dozens of filters. It was worth every penny and a great application to have on the dock beside the other many programs. This app must be using a form of AI to be able to complete the work it does with ease. 5 Star app is for the pros who really like photography filters.

App keeps crashing

I wanted to like this app. I spent $20 for it but had to delete it the same day. It keeps freezing and crashing (not only the app freezes, the entire computer does). This makes it impossible to use. Since I don’t want my computer to break, I will be seeking a different photo editor.

waste of money

does nothing fancy just a thousand dumb effects. i was looking for something professional to remove the fish eye effect of dji drone camera and this is not it.

Works but.. a bit weak in functionality.

While there are lot of effects, available, the application is a bit weak. (e.g. no white balancing). I ended up deleting the application 15 minutes after getting it because scrolling left-and right through all the effects - even with a dropdown to arrow the effects was just poor design. Don’t get me wrong - there are reviews from those whom love the app, but I’m not feeling it here. To compare, I found FOTOR to be far better - and a lot less expensive for what you get and it has the 15 or so effects that one would like and can adjust.

Adding Frames STILL Scales Images Up...

*** 3rd NEW Review *** 4/10/2015 - Well… for the third update in a row, and nor for nearly a year, there remains no Not sure if it affects all users, or not? But there is definitely a bug that upscales images on my 27” 5K iMac. After repeated efforts to communicate with support, there appears to be no plans to address this issue. This is such a shame as this is a fine little utility for quick edits and enhancements to photos. While I plan to “Stay Awesome” it will not be with the help of this app. I have lost all faith in this once decent development team.

the learning curve

I am very pleased with FX PRO I am very new at this but I am enjoying the learning process. I have discovered that the computer components are just different tools for the artist. The photos are photos but they can become anything. Working through the manipulation process I have a new art form to enjoy and play with.

What a piece of crap

I was hoping for high fashion filters, but these are seriously like the worst filters I’ve ever seen. The app looks incredibly professional and well made, but that’s as far as it goes. The filters themselves are a joke. Do not get this expecting the production value of the effects to be as good as they look from the App Store sample images. You will be sorrowfully disappointed. I really wish I could get my money back. I feel jipped.

FX Studio Pro

This app’s superpower is transforming mediocre photos into art. I played with it for about 20 minutes and loved the results. I made a cool background from a boring photo of a table lamp base, added a favorite quote and shared it to Pinterest. Then using a photo of stacks of plastic pipe on a truck, I made a dynamic graphic and pushed the colors up to neon yellow, red, & green. Remember the viral image of the white/gold ~ blue/black dress? The pipe photo now looks to me like stacks of brightly colored tennis balls more than the open ends of lengths of pipe. I wonder which one you’d see? I can’t wait to try this app on some of the great photos I got with a new prime lens. Food photography, baby pictures, and exterior landscape shots are the three that are up next. The filters options seem endless, but as another review mentioned—you can save your favorite ones for an efficient work flow.

Lots of fun!

This is a really great app to create different versions of any photo. I love the frames that come as part of it as well. I also like thate way that one can use the other Macphun apps with it. It can be really simple or very detailed this way. I’ve had so much fun going between the apps and saving as I go. Later I check to see what I want to save permanently. This app comes with editing basics as well. You can go back and forth with ease and get creative! The filters and background are fantastic!

Great Effects

I have been using and enjoying all the great effects possiblities with this software.

Owner

I have several Mac apps for photography, but I use Photo Studio Pro for most of my work because it offers so much more flexibility. I get stunning results. The reviews I get on Facebook are fantastic. I love it.

Really with these filters?

This app contains 170 filters, 160 of which don’t even make sense to use. There are no options to really edit your photos. Waste of money. I’d like a refund. Thank you

almost perfect

I can’t give this 5 stars because simple things like adding text and placing it where ever you like is not an option. Seems like a little more features need to be added for the amount paid for this app.

Lots of effects easy to use.

The program has lots of effects, basic photo editing for color, RGB, contrast, brightness, highlight, shadows, crop and rotate. You can mix filters and effects, and set your own presets in the program. It has built in image frames that you can also use. You can also mask part of the image you are working on, so you can apply an effect to only part of the image.

WARNING: This app SPAMS customers via Push Notifications

This app’s functionality is very, very disappointing—but that’s not why I’m reviewing it: I rarely use this app and haven’t even launched it in months. Yet, minutes ago, I got an ADVERTISEMENT, sent through this app’s push notifications, for the developers new app. So, even though I don’t use their app, theyre invading my personal space by sending ADVERTISEMENTS. Not only is that sleazy, but theyre in clear violation of Apple’s Terms of Service: —> 5.3 Apps that send Push Notifications without first obtaining user consent will be rejected —> 5.5 Apps that use Push Notifications to send unsolicited messages, or for the purpose of phishing or spamming will be rejected —> 5.6 Apps cannot use Push Notifications to send advertising, promotions, or direct marketing of any kind So, buyer beware.

Excellent app!

Easy to use, and lots of filters.

FX Studio Pro

This is one of the fastest photo apps that I have used in the last year. Easy, simple and pretty much self-explanatory. Great job FX Photo!

Special

This app for all its simplicity can and does make your images unique. Try layering two or three of these filters. Whatever image you are working with, this app is not only fun, it seriously does a great job. For my work it is “must have” for tinkering and producing appealingly artistic images.

Export

When saving to export wish it had info how big the file is. Before exporting with JPEG. Overall great software keep improving it.
